"Liar!"

The title of this page, I assume, would garner anyone's attention.  No one, and I mean no one wants this judgement to describe their character.  And yet, one has received this judgement, and that by Jesus Christ when He spoke to the Jews of His day:

"You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire.  He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.  When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."  John 8:44

We, who entertain thoughts of suicide, act in response to thoughts that have been allowed a foothold in our hearts and minds, directly opposing the admonition by the apostle Paul:

"...and do not give the devil a foothold."  Ephesians 4:27

Chief among the lies are:

Life is not worth living!  This is a lie from the father of lies!

Nobody will care if I'm gone!  This is a lie from the father of lies!

I can't go on...  This is a lie from the father of lies!

No one understands...  This is a lie from the father of lies!

know there are many more thoughts that unhinge us from the promise of hope, the listing of all an impossible task for one person.  You are welcome to add to this list through the comment section of this blog, and I will add it to this list.

If you are reading this after having lost someone to suicide, know this, any anger you might be feeling should be directed at Satan, the father of lies, and no one else, including God.

The person who committed suicide acted on a lie that was planted and fostered by the father of lies.

If you are reading this because you are considering suicide, please, please, please, use the resources in this blog - we are here and available to assist you in establishing a new life entirely hinged to the God of Hope.

About Me

My photo
Greetings! I am a wife, mother, sister and daughter, but mostly I am a creative and until the end of first quarter of the Year of Hindsight, that element of my being was living under the wet blanket of corporate America. I was dying in my day job. And so now I am a retiree x 2. Yep. I did this twice! So now I am doing what feeds my soul ~ exercising my creative nature, my body, my committment to 'one another' and my faith in the One who has taught me that EVERY -one and -thing has a second purpose in life. It is now time to explore this wonderful path! Hallelujah and Amen!
